A new Growth & Justice report and policy brief on Connecting Communities in Greater Minnesota highlights the importance of preserving and enhancing personal travel between communities throughout Minnesota and examines priority public-sector investments, policies and approaches for the state’s interregional corridor highway system, intercity bus service and passenger rail service.

In Greater Minnesota – and especially the more rural areas – trip destinations are far less concentrated than in the Twin Cities metro region, meaning that residents of Greater Minnesota are more likely than Twin Cities residents to make frequent trips in between urbanized areas and between smaller cities.
