Michael O'Keefe
Michael O'Keefe is president of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, one of the nation's highly regarded private art and design colleges, offering fifteen undergraduate majors and the M.F.A.  He recently served as commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Services, the state's largest department with an annual budget of $6 billion. Previously, he spent ten years as chief executive officer of The McKnight Foundation.  He co-chairs the education program of the Aspen Institute and serves on the board of Minnesota Public Radio and has held posts in higher education and government. He has served on numerous boards including the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota.  O'Keefe received his B.S. and M.S. in physics and has an honorary doctorate from Hamline University.
