Growth & Justice Research and Policy Director Angela Eilers recently testified before the House E-12 Education Working Group on High School Redesign about effective and promising programs that improve student transition from high school to post-secondary education.
Eilers reviewed research commissioned by Growth & Justice for its “Smart Investments in Minnesota’s Students” (SIMS) project. Research on interventions aimed directly at increasing higher education attainment, conducted by Dr. Laura Perna of the University of Pennsylvania, was presented at an education summit sponsored by Growth & Justice on Nov. 12.
